Training Classes

All of our classes use positive teaching methods. We strive to strengthen and improve the overall relationship you have with your dog. A trained dog is confident, well mannered and easy to live with. Not all classes are offered at once! Please check the Group Class Schedule to see what classes are currently being offered.

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
This 5 week class is for puppies 2 - 5 months of age. It focuses on House-Training, Crate Training, Walking Nicely on a Leash, Body Handling, Grooming and teaching basic exercises such as, Sit, Down, and Coming when called. Start training early! Training a puppy is easier than training an adult dog because he is open to new ideas and has not developed "bad habits." This Puppy Kindergarten Class is a vital source of socialization, which all puppies need to grow up well-adjusted.
Fee $55.00

BEGINNER CLASS
7 week program for dogs 5 months and older. It is a continuation of Puppy Class and where all dogs over 5 months of age must begin. The purpose of this class is to teach your dog to Sit & Stay, Down & Stay, Come when Called, Door Respect, Greeting Friendly Strangers nicely, and Heeling.
Fee $65.00

BEYOND BASIC OBEDIENCE
Designed for graduates of the Beginning Class. This class will focus on teaching advanced skills such as longer stays and out of sight stays, come with distractions, stand stays, off leash work beginning jumping and some beginning agility training. After completion most students are able to test and pass the Delta Society Pet Partners evaluation or AKC Canine Good Citizen test.

COMPETITION OBEDIENCE CLASSES
Competition obedience classes are currently offered November - March. Please call for current schedule.

AGILITY CLASS GUIDELINES

Agility is the fastest growing dog sport in the world. It is fun, fast paced and most dogs love it. In competition it is a timed event where the dog must negotiate a series of obstacles or a "course." All dogs enrolling for Intermediate and advanced agility classes need to have a reliable sit, down, stay and come.

PUPPY AGILITY CLASS
A fun 4 week class for all puppies under 1 year of age. It is an introduction to agility tailored for a puppy. We work on targeting, sit, down, here, follow me, tunnels, and plank.
Fee $40.00

BEGINNING AGILITY CLASS
This 8 week class focuses on learning the obstacles. Come join the fun, learn teamwork and build confidence.
Fee $80.00

INTERMEDIATE AGILITY CLASS
The main focus is on sequence training and more advanced skills. Dogs must have completed the beginning agility class and have a reliable sit, down, stay and come.
Fee $80.00

ADVANCED AGILITY
This class is for all teams that have completed Beginning and Intermediate Agility. This class prepares teams for competition.
Fee $80.00

COMPETITION AGILITY
This class is for all teams that have completed Advanced Agility. This class prepares teams for competition.
It is for all students that are planning on or currently competing in Agility.
